I am whole-heartedly obsessed with Darling Magazine, so when I saw they were hosting a Darling Dinner in Redding, CA (of all places) I had to re-read it about a thousand times because I couldn't believe it. I mean, it's a really tiny town to throw a dinner party in compared to their typical Los Angeles area choices. Regardless, this team really managed to throw an event that embodied the Darling mission statement so beautifully.
We enjoyed a fabulous meal by Kara Elise, with event styling from Audra of Lattes and Linen at this swoon-worthy Airbnb appropriately deemed "The Scenic House". We were given a question to prompt conversation, but for the most part, the conversation naturally flowed in its own direction. We spoke about traveling the world and what it looks like to be brave when faced with uncertainty. It was amazing to be around so many like-minded, creatively driven people who had absolutely no concern with ego or pride. The biggest thing I took from the event was how there is strength in vulnerability and dreaming big is damn good for the soul.
Below are a few photos from the event by the talented Twig and Sparrow:
