In the spirit of savoring the little things, I’ll be sharing a few things “worth noting” to me every other Friday. I love sharing a great book, show, product or even just a memorable moment from the week. "The little things? The little moments? They aren't little." - Jon Kabat Zinn.
Happy Friday, my friends! I hope you're headed into the weekend with fun plans (or no plans at all because that's fun, too). After months of rain, the forecast is finally all sunshine, a.k.a it's bike riding weather and it's glorious. I rode my bike to work through the park without freezing, so Summer must be just around the corner. I've started planning out a few of my Summer trips, but I'm still hoping to have a few more opportunities to travel to new places. So with those good vibes on the brain, here's what else I've been loving this week.
Meal planning:Blue Apron
To be totally honest, I used to think I'd never use Blue Apron. It seemed expensive and like it probably wasn't as easy as they marketed it to be. Oh how wrong I was! Not only is it super convenient, it reduces food waste and allows me to try unique recipes. A couple favorites from this week: Shakshuka + Chirashi-Style Rice Bowls.
If you want to try Blue Apron, leave your email address in the comments - I have a couple free boxes to give away still!
Trip planning: Napa + Austin, Texas + Seattle!
I'm headed to Napa and Seattle this May and Austin Texas (for the first time!) this June. I'm extra excited to explore the Austin, Texas food scene! If you have any recommendations for stops, please leave them in the comments :)
Reads: Unstoppable by Bill Nye (the Science Guy!)
You know how climate change is always painted as a doomed for all mankind issue? Well, Bill Nye just wrote the most inspiring and optimistic book about climate change that you'll probably ever read and I'm recommending it to everybody!
Illustrator: So Nice Design
I've been working with the gals at So Nice Design this week to make some fun watercolor additions to my blog (below is the first piece containing a few of my favorite things) and they've been such a pleasure to work with. They're affordable and have a super quick turn around if you're looking for watercolor illustrations!
Hope you have a lovely, restful weekend! I'm looking forward to reading this book, catching up on blogging and taking some photos with my *new* camera (thanks, Dad)!
