The weather is predicting 79 degrees on Friday and I'm pretty sure that spells cocktail weather, no? After so many rainy day spells, I'm more than ready for afternoons on the patio soaking up the long awaited sunshine! Thus, I'm sharing a sweet little whiskey recipe featuring Whiskey Girl whiskey. I received a bottle of their Peach (fruit-flavored) whiskey and made a simple, but delicious Whiskey Smash. Here's how to mix up this easy cocktail:
- Whiskey Girl Peach Whiskey
- 1 Lemon
- Simple Syrup
- Mint leaves
Pour a shot of whiskey into a cocktail glass and stir in simple syrup to taste. Then, mix in mint leaves and squeeze half a lemon, stirring until well mixed. Scoop up ice into the glass and add a mint spring for garnish and voila!
What I love most about this whiskey is its subtle fruitiness. Whiskey Girl uses local grown heirloom corn, red wheat and barley to make their spirits with what they call "a kiss of flavor", which is the perfect description -- it's a far cry from being artificial or overpowering in anyway. I can't wait to mix up other drinks with this bottle as the weather warms up!
Note: I received a bottle of Whiskey Girl whiskey c/o, but as always, all opinions are my own. I only work with brands I love and genuinely use or consume.
What's your favorite Whiskey cocktail? Have you ever made a Whiskey Smash?
