Worth Noting: 10.21.2016
In the spirit of savoring the little things, I’ll be sharing a few things “worth noting” to me every Friday. I love sharing a great book, show, product or even just a memorable moment from the week. "The little things? The little moments? They aren't little." - Jon Kabat Zinn.
PRODUCT: Cora #fearlessperiod
For many women, periods are annoying but we have options -- we have a huge variety of products to choose from and we can even take the pill to skip it. But for millions of girls in developing countries, there is a hugely understated lack of access to menstrual products, which can mean missing school days (leading to an increase in drop-outs) and not understanding hygiene for future health. Where Cora comes in: they're a company that is globally redefining periods. Not only is their packaging sleek and modern, but their tampon products are organic, BPA free and come in a consciously-made vegan leather clutch. For every month of Cora delivered to you, they give a month's supply of pads to a girl in need. Read more about what they do here. PRODUCT: Best Dry Shampoo Award
I have FINALLY found the holy grail of dry shampoos! I've tried a million different versions and up until recently I've been using the Lush dry shampoo powder because it was the best I had yet to find. Pillow Proof by Redkin has finally ended my search for the perfect dry shampoo. With just a few sprays, my hair literally looks like I took a shower, is soft without a weird residue and smells like a fresh shampoo. It costs twice as much, but given that this will last several months I'm okay with the splurge. Rejoice!
Wear: HoneyCat Jewelry
How pretty is this moon bar necklace? I recently discovered HoneyCat jewelry and their pieces are so pretty and super affordable. I prefer simple, delicate pieces and that's exactly how I'd describe their jewelry line. I picked mine up on Amazon!
Drink: Apple Cider Mimosas!
My coworkers recently shared this idea with me and I was all about it! Simply mix equal parts apple cider with champagne and you've got yourself a delicious Autumn mimosa. I had a glass before the debate (because you know, debate prep) and it was pure cozy deliciousness in a glass. Cheers!
This weekend I'm headed to Apple Hill to pick apples and grab up all things apple cider (including donuts, obviously) and enjoy a wedding at a local winery. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
