Worth Noting: 11.18.16

In the spirit of savoring the little things, I’ll be sharing a few things “worth noting” to me every Friday. I love sharing a great book, show, product or even just a memorable moment from the week. "The little things? The little moments? They aren't little." - Jon Kabat Zinn.

Anybody else feel like November is flying by? I always feel like this towards the end of the year, when things get so busy and it's hard to slow it all down. I'm making an effort to find things that actually slow me down, so this week's "worth noting" definitely reflects that. I hope this week found you well. Happy Friday!

DRINK: Vanilla Orchid Oolong Tea from David's Tea

David's Tea looks a bit like a candy shop when you peek inside, but it's filled with tea (which is even better in my book)! I recently tried a new tea I LOVE and have been drinking every morning; it's their Vanilla Orchid Oolong tea -- it's the perfect tea for fall with warm notes of vanilla and sweet hints of orchid. SO good -- go get some!

WATCH: Kate McKinnon's Hallelujah on SNL

SNL has a way of bringing people together after tough times in a way that no other show really does. This election cycle was especially turbulent and it was nice to have the show make a nod to those who felt a sense of loss. Also, Kate McKinnon is just the best. If you haven't seen last week's opening yet, you can watch it below:

LOVE: NEW Puppies!

My friend's dog had little goldie puppies and I can't wait to meet them this weekend! I don't think I've ever met a puppy when it was so young (they're two weeks now), so it will be fun to watch them as they grow :)

EAT: Compartes Chocolates

There's just something about fancy chocolate, no? I'm a sucker for good packaging and good ingredients, so this fits the bill on both fronts. Plus their flavors are unique and delicious... treat yo self!

Lastly: Book club!

This week I sat down with my coworkers to form a book club and I left feeling really energized and inspired! The first book we choose is Milk and Honey, a book of poetry that I can't wait to pick up! We're also sharing and swapping books that we love, so I'm looking forward to prioritizing reading during my day more -- something that I appreciate so much more now that I stare at a computer screen all day. I also just bought The Mothers, which I'm excited to simultaneously dig into!

This weekend I'm looking forward to enjoying some yoga, reading, time with puppies (duh) and hopefully prepping for the holidays! What are you up to this weekend?
