5 Instagram-Worthy spots in Seattle

Hello Northern Daisy readers! I’m Grace, the blogger behind Tiny Cup of Cake. I’m proud to have lived in the PNW for almost my entire life and excited to call Seattle home. This is my fifth year living in Seattle, so I’ve done my fair share of exploring the city. These are just a few of the most Instagrammable places around town that I wanted to share with you!

Seattle Public Library

The Central Library which is located in Downtown Seattle has amazing architecture. Check out the Living Room on the third floor for comfortable reading spaces underneath the 50 ft. ceilings or the fourth floor which is painted completely red. There are rare book collections to see and even the escalators are fun to take because of the bright chartreuse tunnels.

One of my favorite spots for brunch or just a nice latte in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Not only is the food delicious, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. The outdoor seating in the front, the bar seating, and my favorite spot - the outdoor patio, make for some cute grams. Linda Derschang really knows how to create a beautiful space for gathering around great food and drinks. You can check out other awesome spots by the Derschang Group here. If you need a gift for someone or if you’re just looking to treat yourself, this is absolutely the best place in Seattle to go. Moorea curates an amazing selection of jewelry, home goods, accessories, and more. The space was recently redesigned and although small, it has a beautiful aesthetic. You can check out @mooreaseal on Instagram to see other snaps of the inside, but here are some of my shots that I’ve taken. (All the white and gold is so dreamy. Drool.)

Pike Place Market

That’s Pike, not Pikes, by the way. This is one of the most iconic spots in Seattle and rightfully so. There are plenty of fun things to see, eat, and do around the area. Whether it’s some seasonal fruit or the restaurants or shops at the market, there are a lot of photogenic scenes.

University of Washington

I did my undergrad at UW Seattle and I loved the amazing campus. I was a business student so I spent the majority of my four years in one building - luckily Paccar is arguably one of the nicest buildings on campus. It’s definitely a spot to drop by if it’s open when you’re visiting. You also need to check out the Suzzalo Reading Room (very Hogwarts-esque), the Quad when the cherry blossoms have bloomed, and the view of Mt. Rainier peeking out above the fountain.

I hope this list helps if you’re headed to Seattle in the future! There are so many great spots in Seattle but these are some of my favorites that I go to time and time again. - Grace
