Worth Noting: 8.19.2016

In the spirit of savoring the little things, I’ll be sharing a few things “worth noting” to me every Friday. I love sharing a great book, show, product or even just a memorable moment from the week. "The little things? The little moments? They aren't little." - Jon Kabat Zinn.

WEAR: Bridge and Burn

Bridge and Burn is a retail company based out of Portland, Oregon. They practice responsible manufacturing and you can really tell each piece is high quality -- from the fabric choices to the seams. Besides being an ethical company, their customer service is off the charts. The dress below was actually sold out online and I casually reached out to see if they would be getting the dress in stock anymore, but unfortunately they weren't. Instead of leaving it at that, they took an extra look around the shop and find a sample size that they offered to me at a special rate. So impressed!

EATS: Kodiak Cakes

I recently learned about these protein-packed pancakes and I'm a big fan of having them as an occasional weekend treat! They're delicious and as opposed to regular pancakes, they don't spike my blood sugar like crazy. I typically try to make these or three-ingredient pancakes when I'm craving pancakes and they're great alternatives to the refined flour versions.

WEAR: Woodzees

Woodzee is a local brand here in Chico that makes wood and bamboo sunglasses and I'm obsessed! They're amazingly light weight and my new go-to sunglasses this Summer. You can browse their collections here: www.woodzee.com. They're a perfect mix of functional and funky, and come in both men and women's styles. Bonus: If you're in Chico, you can contact them to try on sunglasses in person at their office to find your favorite!

I pre-ordered this planner with so much excitement; I love the cover and Ban.do is a company that basically speaks my love language. I also picked up one of their notebooks for work and I love having something playful for the day-to-day to do lists. But, I have to be completely honest -- I'm a bit disappointed in the planner.  My previous planner was a Day Designer and the uber-simplicity of the Ban.do planner isn't working out as I hoped. Instead, I ordered this Sugar Paper planner because it has a ton of details that cater to my workflow a lot better. I still love ban.do, but I do wish there was a little more detail in them.

It's been a crazy long week at work, so I can't wait to relax and catch up on some errands. I'm heading to Los Angeles next week and I'm so excited to take one last Summer trip to see my good friend!
