Workcation Fun: A Stay at Park MGM Las Vegas

What started as a vacation plan to somewhere tropical, ended up as a week in Las Vegas. You might be wondering how I went from planning a trip to a beach in Mexico to planning a week in Sin City, but the answer is simple: Vegas is one of my favorite places to do nothing.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been to Las Vegas a million times thanks to family living in Vegas - I’ve seen Cirque du Soleil shows, concerts, ridden crazy roller coasters, drank secret cocktails that make your tongue numb at the Cosmopolitan, etc. etc. It’s one of the few cities I can go to without feeling like I have to make a jam packed itinerary to explore every corner.

So, when I cringed looking all the flights to Mexico that included 8 hour layovers in Denver, I quickly realized Vegas was the answer. A one-hour flight was all that stood between me laying by the pool with piña coladas. Yes, please.

I stayed at Park MGM - a newish hotel and it was my favorite hotel thus far in Vegas! SO chic. Lots of green and pink (my current color combo obsession) and it’s also connected to the Nomad hotel - meaning you have access to their hotel pool as well (so 4 pools total). Plus, there are AMAZING restaurants inside and a spa that’s absolutely worth a trip!

Here’s a list of highlights:

Restaurants Inside Park MGM:

  • Eataly: Italian marketplace inside Park MGM with an array of cafés, counters, bars, restaurants, and markets! Grab a bowl of freshly made pasta or a cheese board with a glass of wine. Don’t forget the gelato!

  • LaLa Noodle: My favorite new restaurant in Vegas! So good we ate here twice. Order the Matcha Punch Cocktail and literally any noodle dish - you can’t go wrong.

  • Primrose: Pricy, but incredibly chic. Grab brunch on the patio with unlimited cups of well brewed coffee.

  • Best Friend: Korean BBQ by Chef Roy Choi - they also serve famous alcoholic slushies!

Other spots in Park MGM:

  • Make sure to stop by the Spa, I opted for a massage which gets you a day pass into the dreamy sauna and steam room areas!

  • Haus of Gaga: A really fun mini museum of Lady Gaga’s most famous costumes - buy a shirt to support the Born This Way Foundation on the way out!

All in all, it was the perfect hotel to lounge by the pool with Frosé, piña coladas, and acai bowl bowls with a good book. Here’s a few snaps from my weekday Workcation at Park MGM!
